Myrtle Beach District Optimist Junior Golf Qualifier
Last week I had lunch with John Grover, (843-251-9602, jgrover@sc.rr.com) past Optimist Governor and past President of the Grand Strand Optimist Club, who has currently accepted the challenge to provide funds for the local Optimist District (SC#22) Junior Golf Qualifier.
This is a 2 day tournament, *May 27th & 28th* – “available for ranking” at the Hackler Golf Course – Coastal Carolina University – 107 Citadel Drive,Conway, …SC 29526. Two golfers in each age division, [Girls 10-12, 13-14 & 15- 18, Boys 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, & 16-18],with the exception Boys 16-18 (1 position open) will advance to the International Tournament provided they shoot the minimum qualifying score.
You know how much I love helping our Kids, so I’d like to ask you for your financial support! We need to raise about $13,000 to run this tournament and send the qualified winners to the International Junior Golf Championships.
